I am not a veterinarian. I work with veterinarians. I do many horses without sedation. However, first time appointments are usually done with sedation. I do require sedation when the safety of myself or handler, or horse comes into question. Sedation is given by the veterinarian .
I also require a veterinarian for extractions. This ensures that there is radiographic assistance , correct sedation and drugs, and effective use of antibiotics.
I want the best for your horse. It is not fair to compromise. They are part of your family.
Safety is my main concern at all times!
Evening and weekend appointments are available. I am based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa but travel as needed. Please feel free to contact me for general equine dentistry questions too!
