I am not a veterinarian. I work with veterinarians. I do many horses without sedation.
However, first time appointments are usually done with sedation.
This allows me to set a foundation to work from in the future. If for various reasons a horse can't be sedated, I can work without sedation. On the second routine visit, I usually do not require sedation.
I do require sedation when the safety of me or handler, or horse comes into question.Sedation is given by the veterinarian.
I want the best for
your horse. I want your horse to view my visit as a positive experience.
Safety is my main concern at all times! It is not fair to compromise.
I am based near Durban, KwaZulu-Natal and travel to Gauteng
regularly so it is also possible to visit horses between Pretoria
and Durban.
